about

This is a group of stuff which I have put together as I have learned more and more about Early Music (from the 90s to 2010's). I have done various bits and bobs either on 4 track or beyond.

You can view a presentation I have done - either in person or via my "S Hybro" YouTube Chanel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCFnMxTkWNzHJHr6jyC8p-Ow

The tracks here involve lots of Me's playing different parts. I had also borrowed period Soprano and Alto Recorders. Along with me singing each part, have tried to immitate certain Early Musical instruments, such as using a Kazoo to imitate Crmhorns to playing a Bass Guitar to to sound like a Viol. I have also used Syths to imitate certain instruments etc
These tracks I have split into various periods:-
Tracks 1 to 6 start with the Dark Ages through Middle Ages
Tracks 7 to 20 for Renaissance
Tracks 21 to 29 for 17th Centuury onwards
Track 30* finishes with "God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen" in Early Music Style

All parts are me; some on 4-track and others a bit later. I have since delivered Early Music Presentations; for one YouTube example search for "S Hybro Early Musics"
Non-keyboard Intruments used here were: Guitar, Acoustic Bass Guitar, Unplugged Electric Guitar, Psaltery, Lute Harp, Kazoo, Banduria, Comenche, Period Soprano Recorder, Period Alto Recorder, Snare Drum, Sloveian Rub-Drum, Rice-Cooker-Pan

*"All in a Garden Green" was a 17th Century piece which had much of the Renaissance in its feel as in how the melody and the chord changes went, and there is a more modern structured version of this. But in this case, I wanted to do a version in Middle-Ages Modal style. Therefore each verse is done in the arrangement of:-
- Dorian Mode (Minor)
- Aolian Mode (Minor)
- Mixolydian Mode (Major)
- Ionian Mode (Major)
